S.M.A.R.T.（Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology System）、chức năng này hầu hết các loại Hard Disk đều có đễ check HD cũa bạn có bị trực trặc gì hay không . thông thường tb dùng nó để check HD của mình có thể làm việt được bao lâu . từ đây chương trình này hy vọng bạn có thể hiểu về sự cố và kiểm tra trước khi HD bị hư !

Cài đặt

# rpm -ivh smartmontools-5.23-1.i386.rpm
Note that you can use a configuration file /etc/smartd.conf to control
the
startup behavior of the smartd daemon. See man 8 smartd for details.
smartmontools #############################################
Run "/etc/rc.d/init.d/smartd start" to start smartd service now.
smartd will continue to start up on system boot

Options

　 -a view tất cả information
　 -i view S.M.A.R.T support HD
　 -l view error log (error、selftest、directory)
　 -v view nhiệt độ

File cấu hình của smart nằm tại - /etc/smartd.conf

Demo cách sử dụng smart

# smartctl -a /dev/hda

Khi bạn đã cài đặt và khởi động deamon của smart nếu hard dish của bạn gặp phãi sự cố , nó sẽ báo cho bạn biết qua mail .

Install

Các gói cần thiết khi cài đặt

MPlayer v0.90 source（MPlayer-0.90.tar.bz2）

Win32 codecs（win32codecs.tar.bz2）

Fonts & symbols packages for OSD（font-arial-iso-8859-1.tar.bz2）

Blue（Blue-1.0.tar.bz2）

Trước khi ta bắt dầu cài đặt chương trình MPlayer khuyên bạn nên cài đặt các gói codec trước .

Code:

# tar jxvf win32codecs.tar.bz2
$ su　- root 
# Password:
# mv win32codecs /usr/local/lib

install bộ phận chính !

Code:

$ tar jxvf MPlayer-0.90.tar.bz2
$ cd MPlayer-0.90
$ ./configure --confdir=/etc/mplayer --enable-gui --with-win32libdir=/usr/local/lib/win32codecs
$ make
$ su　- root
Password:
# make install

font install

Code:

$ tar jxvf font-arial-iso-8859-1.tar.bz2

copy dir font-arial-14-iso-8859-1 qua ~./mplayer/font 

$ mkdir -p ~/.mplayer/font
$ cp font-arial-14-iso-8859-1/* ~/.mplayer/font/

Install skin

Code:

$ mkdir ~/.mplayer/Skin
$ cd ~/.mplayer/Skin
$ tar jxvf /tmp/Blue-1.0.tar.bz2

Và hãy làm một link có tên là default
Code:

$ ln -s Blue default

OK , tới đây đã install xong ! bạn hãy gõ

RPM Tips

Biến tar thành rpm !
khi bạn muốn update một package nào đó , mà seach trong các millor site thì không có RPm , nhưng bạn lại không muốn compile từ source ?

hãy thữ làm theo cách sau :

trong các gói tar thuờng thì có file tên là SPEC , file này dùng đễ tạo RPM binary . bạn có thễ sử dụng nó bằng lệnh

rpmbuild

rpmbuild -ta ssh-3.8.rpm.tar.gz

nếu trong gói tar không có file SPEC thì sẽ như sau .

rpmbuild -ta xxxxx.tar.gz
error: Name field must be present in package: (main package)

Mẹo kiểm tra RPM mới install
khi bạn install rpm , nó sẻ tự động dụ trữ lại ngày giờ , birnary name cho bạn , đễ biết đuợc RPM nào mới intall vào system , bạn có thễ dùng các lệnh sau

rpm -qa --last | more
rpm -qa --last | head
