Nhưng ai là tín đồ của IPB thì nay có thể háo hức đón chờ phiên bản IPB 2.2 mới toanh sắp ra lò. Cò thể đọc chi tiết ở dưới đây

Việc ra đời IPB 2.2 đã làm cho IPB là loại forum có nhiều feature nhất trong các loại forum hiện nay, kế đến là vbulletin... Và việc nhiều feature thế này thì người ta cho rằng cả 2 loại forum này đang bị "béo phì" (bloated), và với hàng đống feature này tất nhiên sẽ cho nhiều thuận lợi về việc điều hành, quản lý Forum. Nhưng bên cạnh đó cũng sẽ xuất hiện những mối hiểm hoạ tiềm ẩn khôn lường :lol smilie

Có 3 tính năng mới đáng chú ý:

Ability to delete Components
You may have installed a component to test it out, but then decided you did not want to use it. Or perhaps a component is no longer compatible with the version you are running. Whatever the reason, components not (internally) marked as being undeletable can now be deleted under the Manage Components section in the ACP.

Ability to search members by "secondary group"
The member search form now provides the ability to search for members by their secondary group, as well as their primary group. Additionally, clicking on previously unviewable groups (groups not displayed in the member list) from the "Manage User Groups" page in the ACP will now allow you to view those members.

Auto resizing of large linked images
Posted images are automatically resized on-the-fly if they are larger than the available screen width of the browser. Clicking the image displays it full size in a pop-up window. Each reduced image has information above stating how much reduction has taken place and the dimensions of the original image.

Việc IPB 2.2 được xem là nỗ lực lớn của IPS, đặc biệt là của Matt (người tạo ra IPB). Và tất nhiên giá cả mua lisence tăng lên khá cao :

Standard License - $149.00 / optional 6 month renewal at $25.00

Business License - $299.00 / optional 6 month renewal at $50.00

Với giá cao như vậy, đa số nhiều người cũng ngại mua... Chỉ với 1 Forum thì 299$ thì khá mắc.

Hiện tại IPS chỉ tung ra bản UPB 2.2 beta 1, mà đã bị Zendcode và IonCube Code, chưa ra bản chính thức, nên ráng chờ đi anh em
