In order to provide more services together with exploring our new businesses, Garena is seeking potential candidates for our Vietnam office (located in HCM City) as below information:[/color]

Senior/Web Engineer, Front-End[/color][/size]

Garena is looking for passionate and experienced web front-end engineers to build, extend and maintain its extensive set of web properties and services for the online gaming community
[size="4"]

Description[/size]

· Design and build web properties and applications for the online gaming community

· Liaise with community managers to gather requirements and translate requirements to technical specifications

· Liaise with back-end engineers and web designers in a project team

· Focuses on front-end web applications that interfaces with the end-user

· Extend existing web properties and applications to enhance features

· Manage and monitor web properties and applications to maintain uptime

[size="4"]Requirements[/size]

· [color="Red"]2 - 4+ years of industry experience using Javascript, HTML and AJAX technologies (at least 4+ years for a senior role)[/color]

· [color="Red"]Previous work experience with PHP, Perl, JSP, ASP, or other similar web-based scripting languages[/color]

· Previous experience working with Javascript (YUI, Dojo, JQuery, Prototype etc) and CSS (Blueprint, 960 etc) frameworks to build production web applications

· [color="Red"]Knowledge of Apache web server and HTTP, state management, and dynamic content retrieval[/color]

· Knowledge of HCI and application UI design

· [color="Red"]Knowledge of web services and APIs (SOAP, REST, XML-RPC, etc) and have demonstrated use of at least 2 APIs from an external API provider[/color]

· Knowledge in optimization techniques (both in file weight and perceived/actual rendering speed), dynamic content retrieval, state management, accessibility techniques, device-portability techniques, internationalization issues desirable

· Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.[/color]

· Able to work in a dynamic environment

· Strong sense of commitment and responsibility

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent teamwork skills, analytical and problem solving skills

For Junior candidates : 200 - 400 USD.
For Senior candidates : 400 - 800 USD.

Web Designer

Garena is looking out for passionate and creative web designers to design, build and maintain its web properties and applications for the online gaming community

[size="4"]Description

· Create design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content for the online gaming community

· Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements if necessary.

· Create visual concepts that match the content and the image wanted by the clients but that fit in the schools global image; ensure that sites are easy to navigate

· Build websites using technologies that conform to web

· Responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of the company website, ensuring that brand continuity is maintained

· Liaise with graphics designer and front-end designer to produce web properties and applications for the online gaming community

[size="4"]Requirements[/size]

· 2 – 4+ years of experience in building standards-compliant web front-end creative designs (at least 4+ years for a senior role)

· A good design sense with demonstrable portfolio

· [color="Red"]Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, Flash, Javascript and AJAX

· Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)[/color]
Knowledge in PHP and other scripting languages good to have

· Strong command of web standards, CSS-driven/table less HTML layouts, DHTML (JavaScript 1.0 - 1.5, CSS1 & CSS2, DOM Levels 0 - 2) cross-browser compatibility, JSON and browser degradation strategies

· In depth knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques

· A flexible attitude with proven experience of working in a small team

· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

· Team player with strong collaboration skills to work with various cross functional teams
