Bài viết này giới thiệu cho bạn cách cài đặt VMware Workstation trên nền Linux, hiện tại có rất nhiều phần mềm để làm virtual machine như Parallel Workstation tuy nhiên tôi thích sử dụng VMware Workstation nhiều hơn các phần mềm kia .

Điều kiện để đọc bài viết này.
- Bạn đăng ký một tài khoản ở website http://www.vmware.com/download/ws/
- Download VMware Workstation 6.0.1 for Linux về máy tính của bạn . Phiên bản tôi sử dụng là VMware Workstation 6.0.1 build-55017

- Sử dụng lệnh yum để cập nhật kernel-devel và kernel-headers nếu như PC của bạn chưa cài đặt

#yum install kernel-devel
#yum install kernel-headers

Sau khi download xong, bạn tiến hành chạy lệnh sau trên console.

#rpm -ivh VMware-workstation-6.0.1-55017.i386.rpm

Chạy tiếp dòng lệnh sau

# vmware-config.pl

running kernel completed successfully.

You can now run VMware Workstation by invoking the following command:
"/usr/bin/vmware".
