Responsibilities • Perform administration for all Linux compute servers, Windows-based servers and PCs, storage, backup and network infrastructure. • Support applications such as Windows Desktop applications, version control system, and electronic design automation. • Provide user support for Windows PCs and Linux servers including all troubleshooting and problem resolution Qualifications • College degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering • 4-7 years IT administration experience • Strong operating system background in Linux, Solaris, and Windows • Strong English skills, both verbal and written • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. • Ability to work independently. • Scripting skills. • Windows administration (printing, imaging, support, upgrades). Additional skills: The following skill set is highly desirable but not required • EDA (Electronic Design Automation) experience • Background with GRID computing (LSF, GRID Engine) • Network Appliance Fileservers - Veritas Backup - NIS and DNS Administration nice to have • Network and security/firewall experience (Cisco, Checkpoint).
